Join us! It is CLEAN and SIMPLE week at The Paper Players. Think lots of white space, minimal layers and embellishments. Jaydee is challenging us to create a CAS card that is postage or postal themed, in other words, "Postman Bring Me A Letter".
I used a Stamp Market set that helps you create an A2 mailbox enclosure for a gift card. I realize now after posting the picture that you can't see the pull tab that holds the Starbucks card. I backed the mailbox with white cardstock and created the pull tab in the same (with "pull here" stamped on the tab). A bit of double-sided tape adheres the gift card to the tab which slides easily between the legs of the mailbox. The mailbox could be adhered to an A2 card base, or if backed (as I did), used as a standalone card.
The set included the pieces to create the small envelopes. I added a small sentiment on one envelope. The primary sentiment is comprised of the layered Sending, and the white-embossed Happy Mail. I also stamped a small snail on the leg of the mailbox for fun.
As always, I made multiples for donation.
1. Create a new paper project
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.
Elizabeth

This looks great and by reading up your explanation I see how it works. It's a clever use of the theme too. What a useful die to have around! Clearly A2 means something different for you than me in paper sizing as it here it means about 4 times larger than a piece of cardstock. :-)
Elizabeth, the mailbox gift card holder is terrific and couldn't be more perfect for this theme! I'm always looking for gift card holder ideas, I might have to look into this one! Fabulous card!
Oh my gosh, what a cute idea! Fun way to tuck in that gift card, and the diecut sentiments and envelopes add such a sweet touch! Great gift-giving idea for Valentine's day!
Oh, Elizabeth! This is one of the cutest gift card holders I have seen. It is perfect for this week's theme. I LOVE the little snail stamped on the leg of the mailbox. Adorable!
Elizabeth, you always have the BEST stamps and dies. I love this gift card holder. The bright blue just pops off the white. Your little snail, made me smile! I love it!
A gift card holder in a mailbox - how fab! I love the bright blue and the snail detail is so cute too!
Elizabeth, I love that you created a gift card holder. What a great set this is and you showcased it beautifully. Thanks for rocking my challenge this week
