Freshly Made Sketches #617

 

It has been over a year since I entered a challenge; today I am entering three and hoping that my mojo is back.  Over the year my stash was greatly diminished so I need to make a lot of cards. Today at Freshly Made Sketches, we are lining up three images horizontally with a sentiment strip.  I chose three Christmas cookies (die cuts were covered with Glossy Accents to simulate icing).

Over at Inspired By..., the theme this week is SNOWMEN so I will submit over there as well.

Color Throwdown Countdown #728 and Freshly Made Sketches #571

This week, I am combining Color Throwdown with Freshly Made Sketches.  The colors we are working with are RED, PINK, GREEN and BROWN.  The sketch features a vertical band on a horizontal A2 card.  I am in the throes of making three dozen birthday cards for donation and so appreciate inspiration that brings a good card together!  Sweet birthday wishes are perfect for the upcoming strawberry season.

This week at Tic Tac Toe, I focused on the middle column for my one layer card: PEN/PENCIL/CRAYON, RED, and BACK TO SCHOOL.  I combined these elements with this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches which features three horizontal rows at the bottom of a card.  My rows are different stamped school images, Copic colored.

This week at Freshly Made Sketches, we are working with Jacquie's CAS sketch to the left.  I don't usually add patterned paper, preferring white instead, but this Christmas paper made my small elves pop.  BTW... you really need the outline dies for these elves... fussy cutting is time consuming!

This week at Freshly Made Sketches we are working with a sketch featuring a central image on the right side of the card with a horizontal stripe and flag running across the card.  I am combining this sketch with this week's colors at Color Throwdown, PURPLE, PINK and GOLD.  This week Joanne James  introduced me to an idea I had never thought of... die cutting DSP to get beautiful flowers.  I went to Michaels hoping to find the a beautiful floral watercolor, instead I found watercolor ephemera.  Easy and beautiful.  I think these die cuts will be a new staple in my craft room.
