Perfectly CAS Challenge #27 - Distress

This month at Perfectly CAS, we are DISTRESSING!  I have had this card in mind for weeks but work has kept me so busy that there has been little time for card making! Such a bummer.  I am cutting it close but thrilled to have finished this one layer card!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC154 – Featured Designer Joanne & Perfectly CAS Challenge #25 – Die Cuts

This week at Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I focused on BUTTERFLY, FREE and FLOWERS. I am combining this combination with the challenge at Perfectly CAS requiring DIE CUTS.  The flower has been embossed in platinum.  The body of the butterfly is die cut from sprayed cardstock in oranges, yellows and greens. A very simple card.

Enjoy!

Perfectly CAS Challenge #23 - Flowers & Retro Rubber Challenge 174 | Dig It!

This week at Perfectly CAS, the key word is FLOWERS.  I am combining flowers with the color challenge at Retro Rubber.  At Retro Rubber, we need to use at least three of five colors from the 1950s: pastel pink, yellow, green, blue or turquoise.  I used pink, yellow, green and blue. The flower border die was cut and Copic colored, and a stamped sentiment added.  The card base was brushed with distress ink prior to adhering the flower border.  Several crystal water drops were added as a final touch.

Enjoy!

Perfectly CAS Challenge #22 - Sea and/or Sky

This month at Perfectly CAS, the keyword is SEA and or SKY.  I made a simple encouragement card based on a trip to the dermatologist this past week.  My doctor plays continuous films while you wait...but not health related material, more like National Geographic or Bing-like photos.  I snapped a pic of the scene I wanted to recreate.  Inspiration comes from the strangest places.  I die cut Memory Box' Seaweed Collage from the cardbase.   On scrap cardstock, I sprayed a combination of blue and green distress inks, as well as a bit of gold.  Once dry, the sprayed scrap was attached to the back of the front of the cardbase.  Small fish were die cut from pink and purple Mirracard using Mama Elephant's Fish Bowl. The sentiment is from Essentials by Ellen Mermaid's Tail.

Enjoy!

Perfectly CAS Challenge #21 - Tropical

The keyword at Perfectly CAS this month is TROPICAL.  I am still making Christmas cards so I made a CAS card using Stampingbella's Santamingo.  The flamingo is stamped and Copic colored.  Crystal stickles cover the wreath.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas.

Enjoy!

Perfectly CAS Challenge #19 - Geometric

This month at Perfectly CAS, we are working with geometric shapes in one third or less of our cards.  The mad dash is now on to make Christmas cards.  I give my "Christmas" gifts at Thanksgiving when I send friends and family packs of Christmas cards for their own use.  When the challenge said geometric, I immediately thought of the multifaceted star from Walter & Winnie.  I die cut just the outline from pink Mirracard and adhered to a navy Stardream card base (for a bit more sparkle).  The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  The final touch was several very small crystal gems.

Enjoy.

Perfectly CAS Challenge #18 - Stripes and/or Dots

This week at Perfectly CAS, we are creating CAS cards using 1/3 or less of the card base, with DOTS OR STRIPES.  I decided on a zebra... great stripes, right?  I stamped three silly zebras from Paper Smooches' Zoo Crew, and a sentiment from Paper Smooches' Word Salad on an A2 panel. One unique zebra was Copic-colored in rainbow colors. Translucent sequins were added for additional flare.

Enjoy.

Perfectly CAS Challenge #17 - Embossing

This is my first time at Perfectly CAS.  I honestly don't know how I found this challenge but I love CAS so I am all in.  This week we are making CAS cards with the image taking up no more than 1/3 of the card face, and incorporating in embossing.  I used an "anchor" embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts; embossing only the bottom third (perhaps less) of my card base. To create the AHOY sentiment, I die cut a "wave" from Stardream cardstock using a Mama Elephant stitched border die.  I adhered the wave to scrap white cardstock then die cut the letters.  I die cut an extra red "O" in order to make the lifesaver bands.  Letters were then adhered to the embossed border.

Enjoy.
