Two Old Bats Halloween November Challenge

The mood board this month at the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge was intriguing.  I never really thought about cacti being a key Halloween element but I gave it a try. I am not sure how I feel about the card but like the challenge, it is interesting.

Inspired By Halloween Board and Two Old Bats October Halloween Challenge

For Inspired By... this week, I have combined their photo inspiration featuring "eyes" with Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge mood board.  I focused on the bottom right of the board highlighting an all black and orange image.  I found some fun "bat" DSP in my stash, added a few more bats, and a door that features a few "eyes" looking out.  I thought the idea was good but not sure about the execution.

Two Old Bats JULY Anything Halloween

This month at Two Old Bats, we are working with an inspiration board that features a lot of repetition and B&W.  I incorporated both elements into my card.  The ghosts are actually a brush stroke stencil and I added black enamel dots to make them ghosts!

This month at the Two Old Bats Halloween, we are working with a mood board that is very green!  I found a sheet of American Crafts DSP which is covered in creepy spiders on a green background.  To the DSP, I added a Copic-colored Frankenstein and several bits of scrap DSP.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge January 2022 Anything Goes

This month at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, the mood board features lots of PURPLE and BLACK.  I made a simple one layer card.  I distressed the card base in Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves.  I stamped one of the ghosts from Picket Fence (Not scared? You should be) in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The sentiment is white embossed, from Impression Obsession Try Not to Lose Your Head.

Two Old Bats Halloween Mid December Challenge

Its December and I am excited to be making Halloween cards for the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!  I bought two new halloween sets from Sizzix over Thanksgiving: a haunted house and a mix of small elements (why doesn't Sizzix name their sets?).  For this card, I sprayed the background panel with a variety of reds, thoroughly dried, and then distressed the edges with Black Soot.  The house was assembled from black and gray cardstock pieces, the ghostie die cuts adhered to the back, and then the house was foam mounted to the sprayed panel and layered on a red card base. The white embossed sentiment is from My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Boos.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #208 - Spooky & Two Old Bats Anything Goes Halloween

The keyword this week at Addicted to CAS is SPOOKY. Using Pretty Pink Posh's Brush Stoke stencil, I white-embossed five "ghosties" onto a black card base.  Don't those brush strokes look like ghosts to you?  I added Ranger black acrylic eyes to each ghost.  The stamped sentiment is from Memory Box; stamped on scrap Halloween paper and trimmed with Simon Says Stamp wavy banners.

I am also submitting this card to Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, October Anything Goes Halloween.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge August Anything

Again it is ANYTHING GOES at the Two Old Bats Halloween.  Thankfully, the team has supplied a wonderful photo inspiration board or I would have felt overwhelmed. I never enter Anything Goes challenges... there is too much choice! I focused on the bottom left photo, and decided to incorporate cupcakes and witches into my card.  I used the cupcakes from Penny Black's Halloween Treats. The images are stamped, Copic-colored and fussy cut.  Each of the cupcake toppers was covered in Scortape, and glitter rubbed on.  Oh so much glitter!  You forget the mess because you love the effect.  I used Ranger Inkessentials black enamel for the ghost eyes. The cupcakes were arranged on various Halloween papers, and to complete the picture, a large witch brad (from my stash) was added to the upper right corner.  The stamped sentiment is from Amuse Artstamps.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge July Anything Goes

Again this month at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge... ANYTHING GOES with the inspirational help of a fab mood board.  I am so loving this challenge... there is going to be no mad dash in October to make Halloween cards!  I am not sure where this card came from but I was looking at the pumpkins and rats, and I remembered this old stamp from Amuse Artstamps, You're Legendary.  Very scary.  I always loved the story of the headless horseman.  The image was stamped, and set on a selection of scrap papers including a white doily painted black, black and white striped washi colored in with a gray Copic, and HAI gold foil.  The gold embossed sentiment is from Impression Obsession, Don't Lose Your Head.  The final touch was several silver stars.

Two Old Bats -- June Anything Halloween

This is my first time entering the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.  Having taken more than a year off during COVID to write a book on my family, I am desperate to refill my stash.  Cards continued to go out but none came in!  This challenge is perfect to catch up on Halloween.  This month is basically ANYTHING GOES Halloween.  I rarely enter Anything Goes challenges because I need inspiration... however Two Bats accommodated my need with a fabulous mood board.  I decided to focus my card on the trio of pumpkins using the wonky Jack-O-Lanterns from Penny Black's Halloween Treat set.  Images are stamped, copic-colored, fussy cut and foam mounted on a selection of scrap papers.
