Addicted to CAS Challenge #217 - Animals

The keyword this week at Addicted to CAS is ANIMALS. I made a very CAS card with a single Copic-colored hyena from Katzelkraft.  The set of six hyenas come on red rubber which you need to trim.  To stamp, I placed a large clear stamp (a mirror stamp) inside my stamp positioner and the red rubber stuck to it beautifully.  As you can see it also stamped well...easy peasy.  The sentiment is from Rosie Roadshow.  No embellishments, I thought the card was cute as is!

The keyword this month at Addicted to CAS is SNOWFLAKE! I have always loved this snowflake because it allows you to create a one layer card.  I die cut the front of the card base, lined the inside back with scortape and liner paper, then filled the opening on the front with hot pink glitter!  Sorry about the bits of glitter on the photo... you can never seem to brush away all the loose glitter.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #211 - Colorful

The keyword at Addicted to CAS this week is COLORFUL.  The keyword is in honor of Addicted to CAS's 9th Birthday.  Congratulations!  ATCAS is one of my favorite challenges keeping me true to the CAS style.  For the challenge, I created a simple Christmas card with "twinkle lights".  I stamped the strings from My Favorite Things Party Lights in Momento Gray. I die cut the lights, Copic colored, touched up with a white gel pen, and added a touch of Wink of Stella.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tabbed Sentiments Holiday.

Addicted to CAS #210 - Circle & FUSION - Triangle Balls

This week, I have combined two challenges to make a spinner Christmas card.  Addicted to CAS is featuring the keyword CIRCLE and FUSION is featuring a photo inspiration with a triangle tree and ball ornaments.  The idea for this card is entirely lifted from the photo over at FUSION.  The design is fairly simple.  Using a craft knife I cut two equilateral triangles; one from the card base so the "ornaments" can be seen through the card, the other from an A2 panel.  The ornaments are simply 1/2", die cut circles. May Arts white string is firmly adhered between two circles.  The stringed circles are adhered to the A2 panel with Scortape, foam tape was added, and the panel mounted to the card base.  Inside the card base, a green gingham panel was added.  The stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday Jingle All the Way.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #209 - PURPLE

Hi everyone!  Thrilled to be a guest designer with Addicted to CAS.  Today's keyword is PURPLE. I made a simple birthday card. 

My purple monster is from Paper Smooches.  The body is die cut from purple Stardream and the outline from a darker shade of purple. The arm actually lifts from the body.  Under which, I added a vellum candy from the Paper Smooches Sweets set.  For definition against the purple background, I added a small yellow circle behind the vellum candy, adhered to the vellum using Xyron adhesive. The sentiment is stamped from two sets: Paper Smooches Falling for You and Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Birthday.  The final touch was a pair of googly eyes. Easy peasy.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #208 - Spooky & Two Old Bats Anything Goes Halloween

The keyword this week at Addicted to CAS is SPOOKY. Using Pretty Pink Posh's Brush Stoke stencil, I white-embossed five "ghosties" onto a black card base.  Don't those brush strokes look like ghosts to you?  I added Ranger black acrylic eyes to each ghost.  The stamped sentiment is from Memory Box; stamped on scrap Halloween paper and trimmed with Simon Says Stamp wavy banners.

I am also submitting this card to Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, October Anything Goes Halloween.
