AAA Cards Game #199 - No Layers + optional twist Hugs

This week at AAA Cards, we are making one layer cards with the optional twist HUGS.  I stamped and Copic-colored an image/sentiment from Stampingbella Dawn Loves Her Doggie.  I hug on my Goldendoodle all the time and just love this image.  One layer cards are my absolute favorite version of CAS.  Enjoy.

ATCAS Challenge #205 & AAA Cards Game #198 & Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #527

I play in a lot of challenges (to build up my card stash for charity and gifts); I find at certain points in the year challenge themes tend to collide.  Although I prefer to make a unique card for every challenge, sometimes I just get confused.  "Leaf" time is one of those times of year.  So I am combining three challenges.  At Addicted to CAS, the keyword is NATURE. At AAA Cards, we are creating CAS cards using up to 1/3 of the card base with the optional twist of Leaves.  Finally at Cupcake Inspirations, we are using shades of green.

I smooshed a watercolor panel with Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Citron Twist and Peacock Feathers.  Once dry, I die cut the leaves using Papertrey Ink's Leaf Cluster and adhered to a green card base.  A small sliver of green washi was added to the card edge for contrast.  The stamped sentiment is from Mama Elephant Everyday Greetings.

AAA Cards Game #197 - One Inch Strip + optional twist Colored Cardbase

This week at AAA Cards, we are creating CAS cards using only one-inch of the cardbase.  Additionally this week we can use a non-white cardbase.  I made a simple Halloween card using three gravestones from My Favorite Things Grave Situation.  The graves and sentiments were stamped on kraft, touched up with Copics, fussy cut, and adhered to a black cardbase.

AAA Cards CAS Game #196 -- Two Quarters

This week at AAA Cards, we are creating cards using TWO QUARTERS of the card base.  I made a Christmas card using Stampingbella's Angel Squidgies, placing one in each corner.  The images are Copic-colored. The stamped sentiment is from Amuse Artstamps. The panel edge was lined with silver Delicata ink. The final touch was a few star sequins.

AAA Cards Game #195 - Along the Edge + optional twist Dry Embossing

This week at AAA Cards, we are creating cards with dry embossing along the edge.  I have had the Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder you see used in the card above...forever.  I can't remember the last time I used it so I wanted to incorporate in today's card.  The embossed banners called for something simple.  I inlaid the sentiment (from My Favorite Things) to create a one-layer card, and added a few sequins to finish.

AAA Cards Game #194 - A Twinchie + optional twist Christmas in July

This week at AAA Cards, we are making TWINCHIES! The optional added twist is Christmas in July.  I love this challenge!  I used to love to make Inchies and Twinchies.  I even found a box of Inchie mats in my stash!  Karen Lockhart used to be the queen of inchie designs.  I thought about which of her Christmas designs was my favorite, and chose the above Christmas house.  I don't know the stamp's name.  The image is stamped on the base card and Copic-colored.  Gold and red Smooches' accents were added; the snow was covered in Wink of Stella, stars added with a Posca pen.  The stamped sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas.

AAA Cards Game #193 - Sketch + Optional Twist Critters

This week at AAA Cards, we are working with a SKETCH and the option of critters. The sketch has a top banner with an object descending from it.  Is a unicorn a critter?  I used Ellen Hutson's Unicorn and Rainbows set. After stamping and Copic coloring the rainbow and unicorn, the top was masked and clouds stenciled in Tumbled Glass using a My Favorite Things stencil. Translucent sequins finish the card.

This week at AAA Cards, we are creating CAS cards with an image in one corner only and focused on CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. I used the adorable Raggedy Annie from Paper Smooches Knick Knacks set tied with a punny birthday sentiment.  Images is stamped and copic-colored.
