Just Us Girls #721 -- COLOR Week

Ina is hosting COLOR week at Just Us Girls.  This week, we just need to use PURPLE, ORANGE and MUSTARD on our cards.  Since I am working my way through every stencil I own, this stencil is from Taylored Expressions.  I love their stencils.  The bodies of the butterflies are stamped first with a full size cling stamp... allowing the lineup of the wing stencils to be super easy.  The top wings are stenciled in a mix of Hero Arts Butter Bar (more orange than yellow) and Simon Says Duckling (yellow), and the bottom wings are in Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea.

This card will be donated to Friends After Diagnosis, an organization supporting cancer patients.  In addition to their many patient programs, therapy and service, staff members often send messages of support to local patients.

Continuing with my New Year's resolution, I made four additional backgrounds for future use. The colors were in the same vein as this week's colors, however I played with a variety of "peaches" and purples (listed below) to check out the differences.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for April, Colleen Begley. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Colleen's Creative Corner

Also check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.
