Just Us Girls #708 -- COLOR Week

Welcome back to Just Us Girls 2024! It is going to be a great year and we are so happy you are here to share it with the team.  Let's review what is the same and what is new.
  • We are staying a weekly challenge, however, our week now runs THURSDAYS - TUESDAYS, with the WOW [Winner of the Week] post being on Wednesdays
  • The challenges are basically the same, we have replaced the CAS Week with Anything Goes using a Stencil.
  • We will also continue to have a Guest Designer. And we have a new Team member, the very talented Stephanie Lanzalotto!

Our team lead, Vicki, is hosting the first week of 2024 at Just Us Girls.  This week, our cards need to include the colors TEAL, NAVY and GREEN.  You will quickly see this year that I have been taken by the stenciling bug.  Layered stencils make beautiful cards so easy! Also my new year resolution is to make two or more cards for each card I design.  So for today's card, I made three additional card bases in the colors listed below.

Left, back row:
Hero Arts Pale Tomato
Hero Arts Soft Apricot
Hero Arts Butter Bar
MFT Gumdrop Green

Middle, back row:
Hero Arts Grape Juice
MFT Grape Jelly
MFT Lemon Drop
SSS Green Leaf

Right, back row:
SSS Lipstick Red
SSS Hollycock
Hero Arts Bubblegum
SSS Fern

Today's feature card is stamped in SSS Spring Rain, MFT Sour Apple, SSS Blue Violet, and SSS Scuba. A simple, white, die cut sentiment was layered and mounted on trimmed vellum (this die does not come with an outline). So Simple, So Versatile.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for January, Stef Perry. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Perry Papercrafts

Also check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

I absolutely LOVE the stencil you used here, Elizabeth. Our challenge colors look beautiful, and you did a wonderful job choosing other colors for additional cards. Thank yu for the welcome. I am thrilled to be on this team and look forward to designing with you each week at JUGs.

Make two is good - make four? Twice as smart! All of your panels are gorgeous, and this large die-cut sentiment is the perfect cherry on top, Elizabeth!
Happy New Year!

I absolutely adore your stenciled card, Elizabeth! The pattern is so pretty and it looks fabulous in the challenge colors as well as the combos for the three other cards. You're so right, stenciling is such a quick way to turn out a card. Love yours!

Beautiful stenciling! Those little buds look fantastic in our colors this week. Your other color combos look equally as fantastic! Love your choice of white sentiment on this beauty.

I, too, have fallen for layered stencils; they're so much fun and yield the most wonderful results. Your buds are so sweet - in this week's colour combination and the others that you shared. Pretty, plus!
