Just Us Girls #617 -- WILD CARD Week

Carol is hosting WILD week at Just Us Girls.  She has chosen the keyword PLAID!  For Christmas, I received My Favorite Things Rainbow Plaid 6x6 paper, and knew I wanted to use it in this challenge.  I decided to keep my design simple.  As I "cleaned out" dies over the holiday, I found several dies I have NEVER used.  I am not sure what motivated me to buy this 2014 die from Memory Box, Fancy Snowflake Frame.  The die is an odd size and not really a frame.  Determined to use it, I die cut the frame from scrap cardstock 3x and layered.  I simply adhered the frame to a cardbase layered with purple and plaid papers.  The overlay, white embossed sentiment is from My Favorite Things Bitty Thanks and Gratitude.

Do you have any stash items that you have never used and have no idea how to use?

We have two fabulous two guest designers in January.  Stef Perry, Perry Papercrafts and Chrissie Stokes, Simply One-of-a-Kind.  Please be sure to stop by and check out their posts.  They have been amazing guests this month.

The design team works hard to inspire you each week.  Please drop by the design team members' blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your plaid creations.

I agree with Vicki, love the white with the vibrant plaid! That die looks like it might be a good mini slimline size??

I am glad I am not alone that wonders and says to myself..."Why on earth did I purchase this?" LOL You have made the debut of your fun die work out very well. Really love the paper and that it has the entire rainbow on it! Nice job! Stay warm!

The plaid reminds me of a madras shirt I had eons ago, Elizabeth, which means I love the colors. Your layered white die cut looks fabulous on top.

What, you have things languishing in your craft room because you don't have a clue as to why you bought them lol!??? To me it looks like you used the die exactly as intended, and it looks fab against that pretty rainbow plaid paper, Elizabeth!

I love that fun snowflake die, it looks fabulous against that beautiful plaid. So glad you ran across it and finally used it. I do the same thing, just have to have it and then it just sits there.
