Just Us Girls #789 -- MOODBOARD Week

Join us! It is MOODBOARD week at Just Us Girls.  Lisa is challenging us to be inspired by the moodboard above in creating our cards this week.  Don't laugh. I managed to see Christmas in this moodboard.  Of course, I am desperate to begin building my Christmas stash.  I actually made 15 copies of this card for all the members of two book clubs to which I belong.  I started with the apple and the books, and added the critters from the Mama Elephant set.  Lots of masking, Copic coloring and fussy cutting later, I had the bits for my bookshelf.  Glossy Accents was added to the glass lenses. While drying, I die cut the background and quick strips for the shelf.  I love the sentiment (from an adorable set); I stamped it on the card base.  After I finished assembling the card, I thought I should have done an elf on a bookshelf.  Maybe next year...

Check out our fabulous guest designer for August, Julie Beech. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Crafted by Jules

Your little critters are so cute, Elizabeth, and what a great sentiment to go with them and the books. I'm glad this helped you get a start on your Christmas cards.
