The Paper Players PP740 - A Theme Challenge from Jan

Join us!
It is THEME week at The Paper Players.  Recycling is in! Jan is challenging us to create a card that recycles or repurposes something.  I had a heyday with this theme... what fun!  I decided to recycle old Christmas cards. After "recycling" the first card, I recycled 5 more.  I used a cover plate and die cut each Christmas card, and reassembled the pieces on a card base. The last touch was a die cut, vellum backed sentiment and gems.  Easy peasy for a "new" Christmas card.  I have a feeling this will become a new go-to technique for me.

Check out our fabulous design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:

1.  Create a new paper project
2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3.  Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, your die works a treat for this recycling theme! They are all so wonderful - my favorite is #2 but skating at Rockefeller Center is FABULOUS!

What a great idea! I love that tiled effect that the plates have given you. When the original card is so fabulous, it's wonderful to see them re-used so they can give the pleasure to someone else. Thanks for coming up with a great way to recycle! :-)

I too have some old cards stashed for reusing and you've really given me some good ideas! I adore all the images and all the different ways you used the die cut pieces. Brilliant cards, Elizabeth!

Oh my gosh, I love them all! I did a puzzle just like the first one, which is my favorite, but really, they're all amazing!

Elizabeth, you really put that die to good use! What a great way to recycle those fabulous cards. The snowman and the fireplace with stockings are my favorites - but they are all great!
