The Paper Players PP735 - A Sketch Challenge from Claire

Join us! It is SKETCH week at The Paper Players.  Claire is challenging us to create a card that uses the sketch below.

I always struggle with sketches (and colors)... this sketch was no exception. I layered a trimmed A2 panel atop a black card base. The panel is embossed and has a stamped sentiment. To the apricot panel, I added a striped strip topped with an asymmetrical flower.  I made six duplicates for donation to Friends After Diagnosis, an organization supporting cancer patients.  In addition to their many patient programs, therapy and service, staff members often send messages of support to local patients.
The card is a bit funky... but fun too (I hope!).

Check out our fabulous design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.
Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:

1.  Create a new paper project
2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3.  Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

Fun, funky and oh, so bold! Your card is a delight for the senses, Elizabeth. The bold sentiment does a wonderful job of balancing the flower. I LOVE this embossed background. The concentric circles are the perfect background. This card will definitely be a day brightener for the lucky recipient.

There's just so much to like about this bold and funky design. I think I'll settle for nominating the striped ribbon piece for second place and give the gold medal to that wonderful embossed background. :-)
