Join us! It is CLEAN and SIMPLE week at The Paper Players. Think lots of white space, minimal layers and embellishments. Joanne is challenging us to create a CAS card that USES ONLY ONE STAMPED IMAGE. What a fun challenge! I always love a good CAS card. My image is the lovely Marilyn Monroe from Stampingbella. Marilyn is Copic colored and fussy cut. I wanted to up her glam and decided to mount her to a matte gold card front; I embossed the panel for added texture. The sentiment was stamped on vellum so it would be visible against the background. The final touch was a few glitter stars to add twinkle.
Check out our fabulous design team. These ladies work hard to inspire you each week. Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.
Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:
1. Create a new paper project
2. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3. Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.
Elizabeth

FABULOUS! I love your Marilyn and I would frame this card if I had it. The sentiment is fantastic! Have a great week!
So you're saying that 'white space' can be gold? OH, I think she's fabulous, and mahvelously glamourous, Elizabeth!

Marilyn looks fabulous, dahling! She is so glam, especially against
the gold embossed background. You and I share a love of the SB images and I think I might have to add this one to my collection after seeing your amazing card, Elizabeth!
Marilyn is definitely "twinkly" on this card! How fun! You've colored her perfectly! Who wouldn't want a dress and stole like this one?!
All round fabulous, Elizabeth. This set looks like a real winner to me. I was slightly surprised at your wonderful gold, starry, twinkly background as you're usually such a stark, ultra-CAS crafter. I wondered if you'd been kidnapped and replaced by a clone! Out of character or not, it's a wonderful card.
Oh, wow, Elizabeth! Marilyn looks fabulous! You did such an amazing job coloring her. I love the stars and that beautiful gold background. Have a wonderful week!
