Just Us Girls #746 -- ANYTHING GOES STENCIL Week

I am hosting ANYTHING GOES STENCIL week at Just Us Girls.  This week, incorporate a stencil into your card designs.  The stencil I used for this card was a gift from a friend. The set is called Honey Bee Squared Spring Florals, and is available with a stamp and die as well.  I just have the stencil and was unsure whether the design would work.  I jumped in, and with a product picture, tried to stencil.  The stencil for the leaves also has all the flower centers included on it.   Honey Bee stencils are made from clear plastic so distinguishing small areas to color can be difficult.  Anyway, everything became green on that stencil. After finishing, I decided I really liked the free form florals, except for the flower centers.  I went back and colored the flower centers with iridescent gold gouache.  WOW, that made all the difference.  Final touch was a stamped sentiment.

Continuing with my New Year's resolution, I made 3 additional cards for donation. These cards will be donated to the First Presbyterian Women, an organization supporting and sharing with the congregation, friends, and guests; building faith, changing lives, and sharing christ.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for September, Nance Salkeld. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Soul Stampin' Designs

Also check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

I think it worked beautifully, Elizabeth! What a wonderful stencil and card! You asked about the initials SBJ on my blog. They stand for Stamps by Judith. I discovered them at a local stamp convention a few years ago. Here's a link for you - ( https://www.stampsbyjudith.com/ ) I always try to list the companies I use. You can find them at the bottom of my post under labels ;)

Elizabeth, I know all too well how difficult it is to use 'coordinating' stencils without the stamp set! You've really shown this one who's boss, my friend! It is stunning!
