Just Us Girls #677 -- CASE A DT CARD Week

Vivacious Vicki
is hosting CASE week at Just Us Girls.  This is a new challenge for Just Us Girls: CASE a Design Team [DT] member.  It is your choice to CASE any DT's card in the
JUGS post, including our Guest Designer. [CASE= copy & share everything].  In a nutshell, use what inspires you from the card you choose, and create your own. There is such a selection from what the Team has created using anything goes for their creations.

If you need help in learning how to CASE a card, please check out Ardyth's post on her LIMES method.  CASEing others' work is a powerful learning tool enabling you to solidify your own style.

I recently participated in Online Card Classes, Stenciled 2, where KWerner suggested jazzing up a layered stencil with a layer of transparent glaze.  Thought I would give it a try!  I think you can see the shimmer in the pic above. Note also that I stamped on colored cardstock.  This card is one created for a bundle I make every month for Friends After Diagnosis, a cancer support center here in Vero Beach.  I try to create designs that I can make in multiples.

Joanne James is our fabulous guest designer for April. I have known Joanne for quite awhile.  Her work is consistently wonderful, and her site is chock full of information. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work at Crafty Owl!

Also check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

I had never heard of LIMES before and what a good list of things to think about when CASEing something! Your card's colors and textures are fabulous! What embossing paste brand did you use? The effect is fabulous! Another beauty this week!

The glaze really does step up a basic stencil design, Elizabeth. I love that you did it on colored cardstock. So glad you did stenciling to give our followers that option when they CASE a Designer.

I love the effect of the glaze on your stencilled background Elizabeth - it really adds a touch of elegance and is a great stepped-up detail. Thanks for sharing the LIMES acronym too - how useful!

Your floral background is ever so pretty and certainly makes for a wonderful Hello card. Sounds like the Online Card Class was inspiring, as is your beautiful creation here.
