This is my first time to be a guest designer at Seize the Birthday and I am thrilled! Birthday cards are a close second to Christmas cards in my stash... I make a lot each year and STB is fantastic in providing me the prompts I need to get started. The "toppings" this week at STB are WINGED THINGS. I made a birthday card for a close friend turning 80. The images have been gold embossed on vellum then Copic colored. The card base is pink Stardream cardstock... I love Stardream for its glitter. The gold sentiment is subtle against the pink background.

First off, we are happy to have you with us this month! What I love about this card is you colored it on peach cardstock and I love how it turned out. I need to rethink always reaching for white. Awesome job and I am certain your friend will appreciate it.

This is gorgeous, Elizabeth. I love your gold embossed images on vellum. They look so beautiful on the pink cardstock with the scalloped frame and the wispy sentiment.
