At Just Us Girls this week, Vicki is hosting COLOR week... and the colors are AQUA, BROWN and CREAM! I am going to be honest. I really struggle with color challenges. Some people are whizzes. Check out Susie Moore and Amy Rohl. Both cardmakers enter lots of color challenges and are members of the Color Throwdown design team. I often marvel at the lovely cards they create in limited colors. I prefer to have every Copic marker I own out on the desk when I color! But practice makes perfect and I continue to enter color challenges.
On a kraft cardbase, I stenciled/distressed Paper Rose's Cable Knit Sweater in Peacock Feathers. The bear is from Concord and 9th's Hugs stamp set; stamped, Copic-colored and fussy cut. The die cut HUGS is from Walter & Winnie, and distressed in the same aqua color as the background. The small sentiment is from Essentials by Ellen Warm Fuzzies. After assembly, a few gems and sequins were added.
Remember we are welcoming Rachel Davis as a Guest Designer for the month of November!
Be sure to stop by each of the DT member blogs, check out their cards, and leave them a bit of love.
I can't wait to see your aqua, brown and cream creations in the gallery! Have fun crafting.

Fun card -- I love that bg too. I too struggle with color challenges! [really!]
That big old bear is perfect on this awesome creation! I am loving that stenciled background and how you inked the die cut hugs to match the background. You nailed this challenge!
This is such a darling card, Eliz! I love the no-line bear and the bold greeting! Awesome job with the colors and Happy Thanksgiving too!
Color challenges aren't my favorite either, Elizabeth, but you did a fantastic job with these. I love the sweater stencil and may have to add that one to my collection. I have the bear and I'm not sure I've even used him. Your coloring of him has inspired me to get him out and give it a go. I'm not good with Copics but that will be good practice.
What a cute bear and aaaaaaaaaamazing fabulous background Elizabeth. Your big hugs die really pops in that gorgeous teal-ish colour.
