Just Us Girls #823 -- WORD Week

Join us! It is WORD week at Just Us Girls.  Lisa is challenging us to draw inspiration from the word FLOWERS in our card creations this week.  "Flowers" is so broad and so wonderful! Who doesn't love making flower-themed cards?

This peony is a wonderful set from Spellbinders.  The outer edges of the peony die serve as a border, which I die cut from gold Mirricard. I die-cut the peony a second time from white cardstock, shading each petal in pink. I backed the die-cut with a dryer sheet to keep the pieces in place, making coloring easier. The sentiment is gold-embossed, die-cut, and mounted with foam tape. Gold dots are the final touch.

Meet our featured guest designer for May, Kerry Parkinson. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Kerry's Papercraft!

Also, check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

The gold edging on the flowers is so elegant, Elizabeth, and the arrangement gave plenty of space for the wonderful sentiment.
