Just Us Girls #821 -- CASE a DT Week

Join us! It is CASE A DT week at Just Us Girls.  Carol Mc is challenging us to choose one of the DT members' cards and CASE (Copy and Share Everything).   CASE a Design Team [DT] member means you may CASE any DT member's card in the JUGS post. [CASE = copy & share everything].  In a nutshell, use what inspires you from the card you choose, and create your own. There is a wide selection from what the Team has created, using anything goes for their creations.

If you need help in learning how to CASE a card, please check out Ardyth's post on her LIMES method.  CASEing others' work is a powerful learning tool that helps you solidify your own style.

I made a "get well" card for CASE A DT week, inspired by a store-bought card I received from a friend this summer while recovering from surgery.  I embossed a blue gingham card base and started building my soup bowl. I had planned to use all the elements from Trinity's alphabet soup die set, but the bowl was smaller than I wanted.  So I created the bowl "circles" from Hero Arts Infinity Circles. Trinity's peas, peppers, parsley, and alphabet were added in.  The final touch was a silver spoon made from layered Mirricard.

The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.  I made a half dozen cards for donation. Many of my cards are donated to a cancer support group, where it is more appropriate to say "take care" rather than "get well" or "feel better".

Also, check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

I love this card Elizabeth! So sweet and fun, too. That happy blue gingham gives the whole card it's fun color and the soup compliments it well.
