Join us! It is MOODBOARD week at Just Us Girls. Carol Mayne is challenging us to be inspired by the moodboard above in creating our cards this week. I looked at this moodboard and selected the black background and multiple bright-colored flowers. Given that I wanted to use the same flower numerous times, I wanted an interesting floral. I considered both the Poppystamps Nordic flower line and Birch Press Block flowers. I own several dies in both lines. I selected the above Nordic tulip because it was small enough to use multiple times. I could have used it in the four corners, but was intrigued by this triangular design.
I selected three pinks and purples for the flowers and four or five greens for the stems and leaves. When you layer the tulips, it is pretty thick with nine layers of cardstock. Importantly, there is no waste, and six cards were yielded. The final touches are a layered sentiment and purple gems.

Your Nordic Crown Flowers are so pretty in the colours you've chosen and oh, how they pop against your black leaf impressed background. An inspired, inspiring take on the mood board.
