Just Us Girls #800 -- CELEBRATE OUR 800th CHALLENGE Week

Join us in celebrating our 800th challenge! It is ANYTHING GOES week at Just Us Girls.  Vicki is challenging us to celebrate and submit one of your favorite cards!

To really celebrate, I am giving away a prize!  To win, you need to play in our 800th challenge and leave a comment on my blog.  I will pick someone at random and notify you after the close of the challenge.  Up for grabs is one of Altenew's Instant Artists kits, Blossoming Florals, and Taylored Expressions Cottage Charm (stencil and die)...plus a couple of other goodies that I will throw in!  Other US-based DT members are also sponsoring prizes, check out their blogs as well.

I decided to make a birthday card.  I have made several cards using The Greetery All Aglow set, but today I am using only the candle die.  I found the festive polka dot DSP I used for the background on Amazon,  and decided it would pop with white candles. I colored the wicks black, and added circles of yellow vellum behind each of the wicks. Atop the candles, I added a vellum backed sentiment, die cut from purple Mirricard.  I made half a dozen copies for the stash.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for November, Leslie Miller. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at Running with Scissors

Check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

This couldn't be more clever, Elizabeth! The candle flames from yellow vellum -- yes, please! I've come across some pretty fabulous papers on Amazon, too, guided there by Pinterest ads. I'm happy to be celebrating this milestone with the JUGS team!

Love that colourful bokeh Elizabeth - perfect backdrop for the skinny candles! Congrats on your 800th challenge at JUGS - not sure I'll get to play along as I am mid craft room revamp, but will try!
