Join us! It is CASE A DT week at Just Us Girls. Carol Mc is challenging us to choose one of the DT members' cards and CASE (Copy and Share Everything). CASE a Design Team [DT] member means it is your choice to CASE any DT's card in the JUGS post. [CASE = copy & share everything]. In a nutshell, use what inspires you from the card you choose, and create your own. There is such a selection from what the Team has created using anything goes for their creations.
If you need help in learning how to CASE a card, please check out Ardyth's post on her LIMES method. CASEing others' work is a powerful learning tool enabling you to solidify your own style.
I am still building the Christmas stash. I love inlaid cards. This time I used Concord & 9th's ornament inlay die. I die cut the coverplate from six A2 panels which allowed me to create six cards. The cardstocks included 2 shades of red, 2 shades of green, and silver and gold Mirracard. When die cutting each panel, I added a dryer sheet to the back of the cardstock to ensure all the bits and pieces stayed together. I extracted the outline of the ornament from each color, and lined the back with Scortape. Each outline was adhered to a cardbase then I began to randomly insert the bits and pieces.
I didn't add a sentiment because I love the card too much. Before I send the card out though, I might add one of Memory Box' small, foiled sentiments to the center.
Check out the design team. These ladies work hard to inspire you each week. Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.
