Just Us Girls #798 -- ANYTHING GOES STENCIL Week

Join us! It is ANYTHING GOES STENCIL week at Just Us Girls.  Ina is challenging us to use a stencil in our card creations this week.

Not surprisingly, I am still working on the Christmas stash.  I am using a new, layered stencil this week from a new-to-me company, Polkadoodles.  First, I was surprised when I received the stencil...it is big! 8x8" You can tell I don't read the descriptions.  It is not quite big enough to do two panels at one time which would be nice! Also there are no markings on the stencils... I spent an inordinate amount of time figuring out how to line up one of the stencils.  Needless to say, the stencils are all marked now.

The stenciling was easy and I love the modern look.  I made a half a dozen panels. I think I could change up the color of the berries and leaves and have a beautiful fall card too.  To keep the card fun, I added a dark pink, layered sentiment back in vellum.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for October, Greta Hess. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at GG Creations

Also check out the design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Beautiful modern look to that stencil set! I do wish all companies included some markings on their layering stencils. I agree changing the colors will give you lovely Fall cards! PS--you're right about my Blessed die being a very old one from PTI. I'm glad you like the leafy folder. It's actually very old and not 3D, which shows regular folders can also be beautiful.
I loved getting to GD with all of you this month!

Even though the stencil was initially a challenge, your perseverance paid off with beautiful results. Bright, festive, modern!

That background turned out fantastic! I love the shades of green you used paired with the dark pink. Fun Christmas card.
