Join us! It is Clean and Simple (CAS) week at The Paper Players. Think lots of white space, minimal layers and embellishments. Jan is challenging us to create a card that includes WATERCOLORS.
OK... you are wondering where are the watercolors. I tried, I really did. I am not a watercolorist. But I can splatter! I used a special tray of Iuile handmade gold watercolor. I love each variation of gold. They were a splurge but so beautiful. I heat embossed the sentiment and splattered the black cardbase. I am diligently working on my Christmas card stash. I made two layered bells from Mirricard and glitter cardstock, topped with an elaborate ribbon, to complete my CAS creation.
1. Create a new paper project
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Gorgeous, Elizabeth! The gold splatters against the black are very striking, as are the shiny, glittery bells. After seeing this card, I understand why you splurged on the tray of handmade gold watercolor. I can envision the recipient framing this and decorating with it during the holiday season for years to come. Have a wonderful week!
I thought those "splats" might be your watercoloring! This card is stunning! The gold and shiny bells really made for an amazing Christmas card!
Love the bright gold splatters on the dark cardstock, eye catching for sure and your bells are beautiful! The shiny paper is perfect for Christmas.
Elizabeth, this is beautiful! I love the handmade gold splatters. the shiny bells and the big ribbon made me smile!
You clever girl, you did get "some" watercoloring on there and the Iuile are certainly the most glorious to use! The bells are so festive in metallics and it's just perfectly CAS. I hope all is going well with school!
Fair call - splattering is definitely in the water colour technique house as far as I'm concerned. Especially when it turns out as strikingly as this! I think this is one of my favourites of your (large) Christmas stash. :-)
I just love this card Elizabeth - those gold paints were definitely worth the splurge! The splatter is stunning against the dark background and the perfect foil for those bells!
