The Paper Players PP755 - A Color Challenge from LeAnne

Join us! It is COLOR week at The Paper Players.  LeAnne is challenging us to create a card that uses the Stampin' Up colors: Lost Lagoon, Lemon Lolly, and Soft Sea Foam.  Since I don't have any Stampin' Up inks, I translated these colors to Simon Says Stamp Spring Rain, Hero Arts Soft Yellow, and Simon Says Stamp Mint.

I die cut the "Pooh" image first from black cardstock to understand how much room I had to blend the three colors. After blending, I splattered white paint over the morning sky.  I adhered the die cut and heat embossed the sentiment in white.  This was a relatively easy card to make.

I made a dozen of these cards for donation to the First Baptist New Mother Initiative at my hometown hospital. First Baptist women put together baby baskets for every new mother, and a personal wish is added to each card.

Check out our fabulous design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:

1.  Create a new paper project
2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3.  Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth

Such a darling card, Elizabeth! The colors in the sky are so beautifully blended and all of the Pooh characters following behind Christopher Robin is just delightful. The House at Pooh and Winnie the Pooh were two of my very favorite childhood books; I'm certain I'm not alone in that. Anyway, love your card!
