Join us! It is COLOR week at The Paper Players. Claire is challenging us to create a card that uses the Stampin' Up colors: Blackberry Bliss, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie . Using a quilt stencil, I stenciled the lovely challenge colors (the colors looked like fall to me!) on a card front then embossed with a pinpoint leaf pattern. To complete, I added a layered sentiment backed in vellum and a small stamped sub-sentiment. A couple of gems finished this card and the duplicates I made.
I made a dozen of these cards, in pastel "baby" colors, for donation to the First Baptist New Mother Initiative at my hometown hospital. First Baptist women put together baby baskets for every new mother, and a personal wish is added to each card.
Check out our fabulous design team. These ladies work hard to inspire you each week. Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.
Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:
1. Create a new paper project
2. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3. Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.
Elizabeth

Elizabeth, this is so cozy and shouts fall! This stencil is perfect for my colors. The bold sentiment just pops off the background and the embossed leaf pinpoint pattern adds so much texture! Just wow-you made me colors shine! The baby cards are fantastic and I know they are very appreciated! Have a great week!
Awesome, Elizabeth! What a great way to use the challenge colors! I also love the pastel baby cards. This is a great stencil and truly reminds me of a vintage quilt. Have a wonderful week!
I do love the stencilled background and loved it even more when in close up I saw the embossed pattern over it, just like a quilt. How warm and cosy! Great card, as always. :-)
