The Paper Players PP749 - A Theme Challenge from Stef

Join us!
It is THEME week at The Paper Players.  Stef is challenging us to create a card that uses the theme "BY THE WATER".  Given I live in Florida, I headed to the beach! I used a new-to-me product from Simon Says; Foil Transfer Sheets. These are sheets of acetate covered in a toner-based image.  The one above is seashells.  I ran the acetate sheet through my Fuse laminator with gold deco foil.  Wow!  My photo does not do the panel justice.  I admit I ruined the first acetate sheet because I didn't use a high heat; the second sheet (above) was run through on "4" on the Fuse.

I had planned to adhere the acetate to an alcohol ink panel but found the alcohol ink design detracted from the beauty of the foiled design. So I adhered the acetate to the card base, and created a border from the alcohol ink panel and gold Mirracard.  I used the same materials to die cut the sentiment. I made two duplicates for donation with the remaining two acetate sheets. I will definitely consider purchasing a set of these acetate sheets again.

Check out our fabulous design team.  These ladies work hard to inspire you each week.  Drop by their blogs and leave them a little love.

Here's a quick recap of our challenge rules:

1.  Create a new paper project
2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us and provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge submission.
3.  Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.

Enjoy!  I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth
