Just Us Girls #779 -- WORD Week

Join us! It is
WORD week at Just Us Girls.  Carol M is challenging us to take inspiration from the word NUMBER in our card creations this week.

I think number and I think birthday.  You know that wonderful quote "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"  I decided to take off on this angle and create a birthday card with a background of numbers.  Initially I thought randomly placed die cuts, white on white.  Then I remembered I have this MFT Numbers Jumble background stamp.  The background was white embossed on a rainbow-distressed A2 panel. The large sentiment was die cut in the colorful panel; the panel was scortaped to the card front, and the missing cardstock inlaid with the missing letters.  The final touch was a few enamel dots.

I made 5 additional cards for donation to Little Birthday Angels, a local agency who ensures every child, who might not otherwise, has a birthday celebration.

Check out our fabulous guest designer for June, Joanne James. Joanne is an amazing cardmaker and one of my wonderful design teammates at The Paper Players. Please welcome her and check out her fabulous work over at the Crafty Owl

Fabulous! I love that white embossed number background with the perfectly blended colors. Love those inlaid letters for the sentiment, too.

I'm glad that's a background stamp Elizabeth - I thought for a moment you had stamped them individually! Love the fun rainbow colours and inlaid sentiment. And to answer your question - the older I get, there definitely seems to be a disconnect between what a see on the outside when I look in the mirror and how I feel inside, where I shall be forever 30 lol!
