Just Us Girls #763 -- MOODBOARD Week

Join us! It is MOODBOARD week at Just Us Girls. I am your host and I am challenging you to draw inspiration from the moodboard above this week.

I think when I chose this inspiration image I was drawn to the primary bright colors, but also appreciated the birthday reference.  I can always use birthday cards for my stash and for donation.  I basically followed the color scheme above.  Green card base with an orange-backed shaker filled with paper confetti.  The orange panel was covered with die cut streamers.

The shaker confetti was a bit time consuming.  I pulled scrap cardstock in all the colors of the inspiration photo.  Using an 1/8" punch, I punched a lot of confetti.  Enough for the four cards; duplicates to be donated.

Over time I have fallen in love with the edge-to-edge shaker technique.  You can see the edge-to-edge shaker technique demonstrated by Nina Marie on the Simon Says blog.  Super easy technique.

The back edges of the orange panel are lined with Scortape.  The panel is 1/2" narrower than an A2 to allow the green margin to show.  A piece of clear packaging is cut about 1/2" larger than the panel on all sides.  The panel is laid face down on the packaging, and one-by-one three sides of Scortape are pulled off.  With each pull, the clear packaging is adhered tightly to the back of the orange panel.  I added confetti via the remaining open side, and tightly sealed.  Final step...adhere the shaker panel to the green A2 card base... and SHAKE!

The final addition was a bright white sentiment.
