Join us! It is DIE week at Just Us Girls. Lisa is challenging us to use HEART dies in our card creations this week.
This is a two-layer die set which is great fun. Each die could be used alone but together they make the lovely combination above. The first die pierces the hearts, the second die cuts the hearts. This is the perfect set of dies to create multiples given you can use both the negative and positive pieces. I made four of this card for donation.
The negative was covered in scortape and adhered to the card base, then all the pieces were inlaid. To have a simple map for the inlays, die cut the hearts using a dryer sheet behind your cardstock. The pieces will adhere to the dryer sheet allowing the easy transfer to your negative. The final touches included a layered, vellum backed sentiment, a small stamped sub sentiment, and glitter dots.

Awesome inlaying! Fabulous card
You're really embracing inlay of late, with sensational results - and this card is yet more evidence. The stitched hearts are so sweet, the colours, so pretty, the Paper Hugs, perfect. I have that die and need to give it more play time. Inspiration, plus with this gem, Elizabeth.

Love all of those hearts dancing in the background! This sentiment is terrific too. Pretty card!
I have loved these cover dies forever and it was fun to see yours in action. So pretty and I love your sentiment!
I love this two-toned inlaid heart background! And awesome sentiment die cut with the vellum shadow. Absolutely perfect!
You certainly have an abundance of beautiful paper hugs here Elizabeth and such soft pretty pinks. Beautiful.
I'm calling you the inlay queen, Elizabeth. I love that paper hugs sentiment die. Your tip about the dryer sheet is appreciated. I may have to buy some just for this purpose.
Who doesn't love a paper hug ... and that inlaid design is amazing.
