Join us! It is theme week at The Paper Players. I am your host and am challenging everyone to illustrate GIVING THANKS in your cards. Thanksgiving is around the corner, your card can celebrate the holiday, or you could make a thank you card for your stash. This week, incorporate GIVING THANKS.
I made two of the above Thanksgiving cards for family members. This card uses a new set from Honey Bee. Putting this card together is not for the faint of heart. I loved the pumpkin maze when it came out, however I never looked at the detail of how it would be put together. I began by spraying a full sheet of Neenah Solar Crest and Desert Storm with orange and green sprays respectively. I used distress and mica sprays in several variations of orange and green. Then I began die cutting... and die cutting. This card is heavily layered... one of the pumpkins has six layers! So prepare for "gluey" fingers. I must say I love the end result. To finish the card, I foam mounted a layered sentiment in matte gold with a vellum background.
1. Create a new paper project
3. Please link your card to no more than four challenges in total.
Enjoy! I am looking forward to your inspired creations in the gallery.

Elizabeth, this is a fabulous theme challenge. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I adore this card! I can see that it was probably very frustrating to put together, but your efforts are greatly appreciated! It is fabulous! Have a great week!
Absoluty gorgeous card, congrats 😊💐 happy day
Elizabeth, you are such a patient person to assemble two of these gorgeous cards. The recipients will love them. They should be framed! This was a fun challenge. Have a wonderful week!
I love, love, love your card, Elizabeth! The variations of color from the sprays gave the die cuts wonderful texture and I'm sure lots of shine from the mica. Layering dies are fiddly but oh so worth the effort, IMHO lol! Thanks for the timely theme this week.
Great challenge, thanks Elizabeth! I love the richness of your pumpkins - the colour variations make it extra special. Isn't it amazing the extra pizzazz that comes from something as simple as a backing for the die cut words?
LOL, that is the first thing I look at when considering a die....HOW MANY PIECES am I going to have to push out of that detailed die?! LOL! But your final creation is stunning...worth all the effort! All those pumpkins and leaves are just amazing!
Elizabeth, it must have taken ages to push all those pieces out - but so worth the effort. All of that wonderful texture is just gorgeous. I love the gold sentiment on the vellum, too.

Elizabeth that pumpkin background is spectacular - it reminds me of my very own pumpkin patch in years gone by! I'm sure it did take a long time, but it was so worth it. A fabulous sentiment diecut too for a great challenge theme this week!
