Bobby is hosting this week at Just Us Girls and she has something special planned for us. We are collaborating with the Time Out Challenge for the next two weeks! It's our usual Word Week and the word is "BIRDS".

The word is BIRDS, and Birds of a Feather at Time Out. I used Poppystamps' matching Nordic Doves which are layered die cuts. I used four colors, die cutting the birds once for each color... thus making it easy to make four cards in total (keeping up with my New Year's resolution to make multiples). I set the doves on vellum leaves on a dark purple background with a simple, white embossed sentiment.

I love every single thing in Poppy's Nordic collection, and these gorgeous birds are no exception. I love the colors you chose - so deep and rich. The contrast of the leaves and the base layer is the perfect stage for those wonderful birds.
Your Nordic birds are lovely and such a pretty background with the vellum leaves.
I'm not sure what hummingbirds pollinate, as we don't have hummingbirds here, as far as I know. I just made what the Crop and Create instructor showed us to make, using the stamps/dies/stencils in our package. LOL! Actually, creating a bird card was a bit of a challenge, as I have full-on bird terror. Not many birds in my collection. I'm thrilled you like it.

Those birds just glow on that dark purple background, Elizabeth. They look so fancy with all their colorful layers.
Loving thos beautiful coloureed layered bird Elizabeth and behind such soft vellum leaves. Of course they are just perfect in front of that gorgeous purple card base.
I love these Nordic Doves Elizabeth and what a sensational colour scheme! I don't have these doves but I do have some of the other animals and you've really inspired me and my next Christmas card may very well use this non-traditional colour scheme! Love the addition of the vellum leaves too and the white embossed sentiment!
