Just Us Girls #604 -- WORD Week

At Just Us Girls this week, Carol is hosting WORD week... and the word is HALLOWEEN!  I love Halloween cards.  I think my card is a bit spooky!  I used Tim Holtz' Trick or Treat die set.  I die cut the Halloweeners from a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of black cardstock leaving a 1.5" at the bottom.  This allowed the diecut to be nestled into the black strip holding the sentiment.  The strip was embossed with Poppystamps Stitched Spider Webs.  The sentiment is die cut from the same Tim Holtz' set on scrap cardstock.  Before adhering the image and sentiment to the card base, the card base was distressed.  A circle mask was applied to the base in the area where the children's heads would appear.  Clouds using a Rosie Roadshow cloud stencil were distressed in Espresso.  The mask was removed, and the moon stenciled in Wild Honey.  The image, sentiment and a small bat (from Memory Box) were adhered.

We are welcoming Nora Noll from A Creative Touch as a Guest Designer for the month of October!

Be sure to stop by each of the DT member blogs, check out their cards, and leave them a bit of love.

I can't wait to see your color creations in the gallery!  Have fun crafting.

Happy Halloween!

What a perfectly spooky Halloween card! I love that scary sky behind the trick or treaters. That bold sentiment looks great with the embossed spider webs, too. Awesome Halloween creation!

That is a lot of cloud inking, Elizabeth, but they set a great mood for your silhouetted trick or treaters. I love the sentiment panel with the webs and bright word dies.
