Hi everyone! This is my first week to host Just Us Girls. It is TREND Week and I have chosen SHAKERS as our trend. In the last couple of months, I have fallen in love with the edge-to-edge shaker technique. You can see the edge-to-edge shaker technique demonstrated by Nina Marie on the Simon Says blog. Super easy technique. You can, however, use whatever shaker method you love for the challenge.
On an A2 kraft card base, I stamped Stampingbella's Bundle Girl in a Pile of Leaves and masked off the leaves. Then stamped the large Poster Tidings sentiment from Close to My Heart Stamps in Versamark Onyx, and clear embossed. The leaves are colored with Copic markers. Bundle girl is stamped on scrap cardstock, Copic-colored, fussy cut and adhered to the card panel.
The back edges of the A2 panel are lined with Scortape. A piece of clear packaging was cut to about 1/2" larger than the panel on all sides. The panel was laid face down on the packaging, and one-by-one the three sides of Scortape were pulled off. With each pull, the clear packaging was adhered tightly to the back of the panel. I added sequins via the remaining open side, and then tightly sealed. Final step...adhere the shaker panel to an A2 card base... and SHAKE!
Remember we are welcoming Loll Thompson as a Guest Designer for the month of September!
Be sure to stop by each of the DT member blogs, check out their cards, and leave them a bit of love.
I can't wait to see your shaker creations in the gallery! Have fun crafting.

So fun! I love the candy corn colored stuffing too! Well done on your first hostess gig 😀
What a precious autumn shaker!! I love this delightful card!!
Beautiful shaker with amazing colors!!!
This is a fabulous Autumn Shaker card Eliz!! I have not seen the panel shakers and now have to check them out. LOVE your design on kraft paper with the large sentiment on the side. The little girl is adorable, all bundled up for the cold. And the leaves and star sequins are perfect for your design. LOVE it! xx
I love that you chose Shakers as you pushed me out of my comfort zone and to try something new! Yours looks amazing! I have got to get my hands on some clear packaging! I may try a roll of clear wrapping from the Dollar Tree! Take care!
Nancy... the clear packaging wrap is a great idea! It is thin enough and malleable to work perfectly! I will keep that in mind when I run out of packaging bags. Thx.
I love the edge-to-edge shakers too, Elizabeth. So much easier to make. I love that yours includes little leaves to go along with the little girl and that fabulous Fall sentiment.
Oh Elizabeth this is brilliantly made. I had never seen the edge to edge shakers till this weeks challenge. Love the big bold sentiment and that fabulous coloured image. It's a beauty!!!
This is fabulous! I must have been living under a rock because this edge to edge shaker is new to me! I love that little girl with the leaves swirling around her and those awesome shaker bits.
What a fabulous fall scene sheker, Elizabeth! This new to me edge to edge technique is super fun. I must give it a try.
