This week at The Paper Players, we have a great mood/PHOTO board for inspiration. I have made a lot of summer cards lately for challenges and wanted to touch on something new. From this mood board that was either the lighthouse or the sanderlings (beach birds). I actually started thinking lighthouse but ended up with this cute pelican. Note this card is a mini slim card (3.5" x 6"). There are a number background elements: Memory Box Oceania Border, Poppystamps Picket Fence (trimmed down and die cut from wood grain cardstock), "sand" from torn kraft paper, and My Favorite Things Sunburst. The birds and fish are stamped, Copic-colored, fussy cut and foam-mounted. The images are from Paper Smooches Surf and Turf. A coffee stirrer is the foundation for the sign post. The die cut word banners are from Simon Says Stamp Summer Greetings.
Enjoy.

Absolutely adorable...and the best use of a coffee stirrer I've ever seen! All the elements add up to the cutest seaside scene I've ever encountered! Thanks for playing with our Paper Players challenge this week!
Love this! What a fun seaside scene and I have to agree with LeAnne, best use of a coffee stirrer I've seen, too! This is such a happy card. Thank you for joining us at the Paper Players this week.
What a fabulous card Elizabeth - I love your cute pelican (serious 'Finding Nemo' flashbacks happening now!) And a coffee stirrer into a sign post - genius! Recycling in the best way possible. Thanks for playing along with our seaside themed challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
