This month at Twofer we are making two cards (for two different occasions using the same stamp, stencil or die) using the SUN or SUN RAYS. I used the Studio Katia Light Ray stencil for both of my cards.
For my thank you card, I distressed the card base in Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Wild Honey, then distressed the sunbeams in Carved Pumpkin. The sentiment is one of my favorites from Impression Obsession. I don't know about you but sometimes this is just how I feel!
The second, Christmas, card uses the same stencil distressed with Delicata gold ink. The rays have a lovely sparkle to them in the right light. The sentiment and copic-colored baby are from Neat & Tangled Sweet Baby Jesus. Jesus is lying on Paper Smooches Cris Cross background, die cut from kraft.
Enjoy.

These are both wonderful cards, Elizabeth, very evocative! I can feel the warmth from your thank you God card from here and I love the look of joy on the face of sweet Baby Jesus! Great idea to use the Criss Cross background for His cradle. Thank you for playing in TCC #39! Hugs, Darnell
Elizabeth, you've created an absolutely amazing duo of "sun" cards! That thank you card with that distressed background and that beautiful sun radiating, is simply stunning! Very cool sentiment, too. And your sweet Christmas card...I love how that stenciled sun really emphasizes the Christ Child. Two lovely cards! Thank you for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Bev
Yours was one of my favorite entries in the Sunshine Challenge. Now... I need to see if that first sentiment is still available. I LOVE it! May God Bless your day. Kathy A aka myasperations.blogspot
